Hotel Review: Palazzo Parigi Hotel
Planning a trip to Italy always includes looking for the perfect accommodation and The Palazzo Parigi is one of THE places to stay in Milan. For those looking for an opulent hotel that is trendy at the same time – this is the place for you. Typically it is pretty tricky to marry those two characteristics successfully, but the Palazzo Parigi was able to do that with the help of the ultra-popular Italian fashion blogger, Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad. She regularly stays at this hotel and even stayed here for a month right after having her baby.
That is the trendy part. Now on to the opulent part.
Overall Characteristics
Luxurious yet chic is an excellent way to describe this hotel. It has old world charm but still feels contemporary. The idea was to combine the best of both worlds in the area of design: Paris meets Milan. Wood floors, marble columns, floor to ceiling windows and a grand staircase with a super sparkly chandelier. Gorgeous!
Rooms
Every room has its own signature and is completely unique. The decor reflects the style of the rest of the hotel and the color schemes are soothing with neutral tones. Big, soft and fluffy beds complete the feel. Each room has a balcony or terrace. Room sizes range from 34 square meters (365 square feet) to 178 square meters (1915 square feet)! That is bigger than my house and probably explains why Chiara was able to stay here for a month with a newborn.
Bathrooms are all done up in marble and have a shower and bathtub along with designer amenities – of course.
Facilities
Where to begin with what this hotel offers? The Moroccan themed wellness center is a must. All the usual suspects are here including saunas, steam rooms, relax rooms and a beautiful indoor pool. Make sure to indulge in one of their themed treatment centers. Themes include Morocco, China, India, Bali and Sweden.
If you are into fitness, there is a fully equipped gym as well as a yoga studio.
So after all of that working out and relaxing, you are probably hungry. Good news for you, because there are many fantastic options for food and drink.
There is a lovely 18th-century English garden where breakfast is served as well as afternoon tea or drinks. There is also a fantastic retro styled cafe where you can have casual meals (including breakfast) as well as afternoon or late-night cocktails. The Gourmet Restaurant serves classic Italian dishes in an elegant dining room.
Location
This hotel is located in the heart of Milan just around the corner from the trendy Brera area, one of the cutest neighborhoods in the city. Here you will find fun outdoor cafes, hip boutiques and a lot of good people watching.
Info
All of this fab luxury comes with a pretty price tag. A standard double room will set you back around 500 euro. But hey…..every once in a while, ya gotta splurge.
